Newness of Spirit Podcast

We are all about Jesus, here.  And we want everyone to know that it is meant to be that way for every believer, all the time!  Christ is our life, and we are pursuing Him that He might live in us, all the time.

This podcast will be a hodgepodge of different sharings: some classes, some speaking engagements, and some episodes that are just for this podcast.  But no matter what the circumstances surrounding each episode, they will all lift up Jesus Christ so that He might be revealed in us.

Come join us, and allow the Spirit to take you to the Cross.  You will find Christ there as the Eternal Spirit who desires to inhabit His people!

Man's wisdom says we must be powerful, important, or higher-up in order to do any good in the world.  Lamb's wisdom says there is no need for position or authority.  He came to earth, died on the Cross, and so blessed from below!

Honor from God, or honor from man... Which does God's Son receive?  He desires the honor that His Father gives.  Now He lives in us by His Lamb nature, and we are free from our cravings for earthly honor.  We can now allow the Son to live unto His Father!

Continuing in our meditation as the Lamb being made a public display, we now explore how Christ as our Life will manifest in this way in His people.  It is the very nature of Christ to only move in Oneness with His Father, even when it leads to the Cross.  He is no different in us today.  In us, He stays low and allows the Father to bring what pleases Him for the greatest glory and fruitfulness.

When the Lamb -- the eternal Spirit -- manifests in our material world, what happens?  Well, it was not always an easy road for Jesus!  In this episode, we explore how the Lamb appears to earth-bound humanity.  But what appears foolish and wasteful to people is actually of eternal value to God the Father!

The Son not only did what the Father wanted Him to do; His nature is to be in a continual state of loving surrender to the Father's heart desires.  There is no fear in love!  As we consign our flesh to the Cross of Jesus Christ, the Surrendered One will live His life in us and we will enjoy His peace.

"Obedient unto death, even the death of the Cross." This is a beautiful description of the Spirit of the Son from before the foundation of the world.  He is so deeply given to His Father that He is has no self-protection in play.  This is the Spirit that the Father has communion with, and this is why He raised His Son from the dead.
And now that Son lives in us.

If the Lamb has been raised up and seated upon the throne by His Father, if He has been given all fullness to dwell in Him, why the prayer in Revelation that He receive from us?
In this episode, we seek to understand the beautiful relationship between the God who has everything, and what He needs from us.

Who is the Lamb of God?  This title given the Son describes much more than what He does.  It is the very essence of Who He Is.  In this series, we will delve into what the Scriptures have to say about the Lamb of God.  As we see Him there, we will understand how He desires to live in us in our ordinary circumstances!

In this episode, I will be reading three items that the Spirit of God has used to minister to me.  I pray they will bless you too!
They are:

An Excerpt from The Son of Man by Guiseppe Petrelli
Resignation (A Poem) by Jeanne Marie de la Motte-Guyon

What if many things that believers are seeking after are not working to bring us into the image of Christ?  What if God is attracted to a certain condition in our souls, one that we would not naturally look for?  God loves a broken spirit and a broken and contrite heart.  He blesses the poor in spirit!  In this episode we will see a contrast between Gideon, who receives grace, and Uzziah, whom God resists.
