Major Prophets Lesson 1: Prophets and Prophecy

An introductory lesson to an 11-lesson overview of the Major Prophets.  In this episode, we lay  the groundwork by examining what the Scriptures have to say about prophets and prophecy in general. 
What is most important to our hearts is that Christ fill our view whenever we search the Scriptures.  The Major Prophets are full of Jesus, our emphasis will be finding Him in these beautiful books of the Bible! 

The Lowliness of Jesus Part II

We continue our meditations in Mark chapter 1, where Jesus continues to meet every circumstances with lowliness of mind.  Although this quality is subtle and understated, it is not possible for the mind of the flesh to handle every situation with the graciousness and humility that we see here in these verses.  May our Lord Jesus become so dear to us that we will not rest until we have known Him as our Life in the way it is illustrated in this chapter!

As lovers of Jesus, we want to have His image displayed in us.  But how do we view Him?  We will display who we think He is.  How important, then, that we see Him as He truly is, and not according to our own ideas or cultural expectations!  Join is on this brief excursion into Mark chapter one as the Spirit directs our gaze to the Lowly Servant displayed here!

Bride Meditations Part II

In this second installment of Bride Meditations, we will look at the Old Covenant Tabernacle reveals how God relates to His unbelieving spouse Israel.  We also look at how Jesus holds His church in oneness when we do not know how to relate this way.  Praise Him for His gracious relationship of Oneness!  We can trust Him to keep us here as we learn to let Him live in us.

Bride Meditations Part I

"Bride" is the Church's relationship with the Risen Son, a relationship that was conceived in the Father's heart long before creation.  For believers, it is a new identity, a new form, having  been formed in love and perfection and acceptance.  May we allow the Spirit to wash our understanding with the Word that we may come into this image!

Knowing God by Entering Into Lowliness

There is knowing about God, and then there is knowing God.  Knowing Him requires stepping past what He has done for us and allowing the Spirit of God to pull back the veil over the core elements of His being.  When we begin to perceive Him in lowliness, we also begin to know Him for Himself alone!
